Passed away August 19. 2017,
following a brave bout with
cancer, at his home in Salem
NH, at the age of 84. Philip was
born Dec. 27,1932 in Phila. PA,
the eldest son of Enes (Onorato)
and John Fote. He earned a B.S.
in Aeronautical Engineering at
Georgia Institute of Technology,
Atlanta, in 1957 and a M.S. in
Physics at Northeastern Univer-
sity, Boston, in 1961. Philip was
employed as Chief Engineer at
Textron Systems (formerly
AVCO Corp.), in Wilmington
MA for over 60 years. He
adored his family, a good
martini, baseball, The Boston
Pops, tho ocean, rare cars, Star
Trek, Sheba and particularly
his work; for which he was
honored by NASA.
Philip is survived by his beloved
wife of 62 years Winnell
(Martin); his children, Elise
Menegoni, Lynn Andrews and
Philip Fote: grandchildren,
Jonathan and Nikolas Fote,
Paige Ladd, Alison and Janae
Andrews; sons-in-law, Attilio
Menegoni, Peter Andrews and
Joshua Ladd; brother, John:
sister-in-law, Christine; nephew
and godson, John III ; nieces
Chris and Sandy, their husbands
David Mann and Sean Fitzpatrick;
6 grandnephews, a grandniece
and many wonderful cousins.
Relatives and friends are invited
to attend his Viewing Saturday,
10 to 11 A.M., St. Rita of Cascia
Church, 1166 S. Broad St., S.
Phila. PA 19146. Funeral Mass
will follow Viewing 11 A.M. Int.
